Pre-War Timeline
The Beginnings |
Throughout caeli knowledge a number of origin stories have been found to converge, telling of a home deep within the heart of a mountain. It’s using this knowledge, and complex archaeological digs that Star nest can confirm that it is the birthplace of the caeli species, and therefore of all caeli civilization.
Knowing that Star is the start of caeli migration, it can then be deduced that the other nests were once colonies of Star nest travellers or exploratory groups. According to pre-civilization migratory stories, an ethnically distinct group of caelis were the first group to leave the Star nest for 'a holy ground' upon predicting and following the trajectory of a shooting star. However examination of the rock used to construct the Northern nest show volcanic but not meteoric origin, which sparked a less common theory that not one but two exploratory groups left the Star nest around the same time. Records from the Star and Northern nest indicate that these two nests are the oldest confirmed ... [ripped page] ... although across the timeline of Dravisdor, not all nests were as successful as the Great Four. |

The First Nests |
There have been attempts to verify stone scripts ancient in nature, that mention the existence of other successful nests. The deciphered carvings have been translated to say 'Praise to the venerable Star, Praise to the holy North, Praise to the fierce Marsh and Praise to the sundry... Shores... [stone breaks here]. Evidence for these first three ancient nests exist, though the fourth has been highly scrutinized. Star scholars have found no mainland evidence of the fourth nest, and very little evidence off-shore in the form of broken-down tools. Advocates of the existence of the fourth nest express that absence of evidence does not prove that the fourth nest did not exist.
Industrialization in the Star nest along with the invention of metallurgy, astronomy, calculus, and medicine is hailed as the cause of the rapid population spike that occurred all across Visla. During this time, food shortages became infrequent and the growth of nests were reaching maximum capacity within their limited territory. Literature regarding history at the beginning of industrialization of Star is far more comprehensive, as this was in the midst of the rise of civilization. Clearly documented nests during this timeframe were the Star nest, Northern nest, Marsh nest, and some purport the existence of a fourth nest, ... [blurred coffee stain] nest. Again, this has never been recognized by scholars and is considered a superstition to ward young caelis from straying too far into open ocean. |

Dual Monarchy |
In the afterglow of the population boom, it was a time of prosperity and growth for all the nests. However, no one foresaw the revolutionary social change precipitated by a radical choice made by the ruling Star Queen. The loving Queen Ophiuchus chose not to slay her second daughter, ... [blurred name] ... who was born with the same Queen mutation as her eldest half-sister. It was customary that the eldest Queen daughter be crowned upon the passing of her Queen mother and any other offspring with the mutation to be smothered upon hatching. However, at the time of her death Queen Ophiuchus decreed that both sisters would have equal ruling power and each control half of the Star territory. The sisters agreed to fulfill their mothers dying wish, and split the country through the center, with one sister in the East and another in the West. It was known that the two sisters loved each other very much and their relationship had been warm until their separation as the dual Queens.

The Great War
Star Nest War |
While the Queens ruled together in harmony both West and East Star nest branches thrived and grew to be the strongest nest in history. However, after only 30 short years of sovereignty... the eldest sister Celestine, Queen of the Western Star Nest, was assassinated. [charred pages] factions of the Western Star blamed the East Nest branch of plotting to overtake and unify the star nest, which led to great turmoil... The citizens turned on one another and blamed each other for the tragedy of Queen Celestine's death.

War of the East |
The war was prolonged and brutal, with the Western star faction completely abolished by the Eastern Star nest on the 5th moon of Summer in the 45th Queen's era. Many lives, artefacts, and knowledge was lost amongst the chaos. Though a truth came out amongst the mess... [ripped pages] and thus the Marsh was sanctioned heavily, stripped of all standing amongst the alliance of the Three nests. Their greed had cost them dearly, as assassination of a Queen from a foreign nest was the greatest crime that could be committed.

Present Day
Return to EquilibriumThe Current Age |
Despite all the suffering, crime, and destruction that occurred during the war and sanction, eventually everything began to settle. The Marsh nest faded into an obscure and pitiful faction of Caeli living in the shadow of their leader's failings, while the Star Nest continued to heal from the chaos of war. Memories that once burned in the minds of victims faded away and became forgotten. Old nest rivalries and bitterness softened into mere rumours that no one took seriously. The turmoil and devastation of the past became historical facts and painful wounds became toughened scars.
Time washed away both the glory and the pain of the Star and Marsh nests, leaving space for progress and the establishment of a new nest. The Seashore nest, amongst the lull was able to root itself on the coast of an unassuming neutral territory and grow in prominence to be known as one of the Four Great Nests. To this day, the four current nests live in peace and harmony...
